Burning Bushes - Presenter: Muche Ukegbu
Room Location: Chapel (Towards back, past gymnasium to the left)
The burning bush is commonly understood to be the definitive image of the calling of God. It is a dramatic encounter full of intrigue and possibility. In calling out to Moses from a burning bush, God changes the course of his life and an entire nation. While God may not set our front yards on fire to get our attention, He still calls out to us. In this workshop, we will explore the call of God, working through foundational elements for how we understand the calling of God, and a simple framework for discerning and responding to the call of God in our lives.

The focus of this workshop is cultivating a holistic approach to youth discipleship. This workshop not only explores redemptive justice but also emphasizes the role of civic engagement in creating meaningful change for marginalized communities. Participants will learn how to advocate for systemic reforms by using their own personal stories and testimonies as powerful tools to influence policy and inspire action. Through real-life examples, including Ronnie Lillard's journey, attendees will see how standing fearlessly for justice and equality can transform both individuals and entire communities.
Worship in a Warship: How to Find Joy in the Midst of Suffering - Presenter: Arnaldo Delgado

Trials, storms, and hardships are as inevitable as taxes. Needless to say, the dark night of the soul will come for us all in many different ways and on many different days but when it does, will you be ready? In this class, we will take a deep dive into the invitation Jesus offers us to take heart in the midst of troubles so that through them, the refining purposes of The Potter can be made manifest — both in joy for us and glory for Him. Lean in as we learn a new song in the storm and discover worship in a warship.

In this workshop, we will explore how to maintain our identity in Christ amidst the conflicting messages of contemporary culture. We'll examine the disparity between God's definition of identity and cultural narratives, and equip ourselves to stand firm in God's design while engaging with a world that may be hostile to it. Through personal stories, case studies, and interactive Q&A sessions, we will delve into practical ways to share the Truth in Love with those around us. Avoiding Stress and Burnout in Life and Ministry - Presenter: Beth Assis
Room Location: A202 (second floor)
During this workshop, participants will walk away with a good understanding of chronic stress and its effects on the mind and body, as well as how it can quickly lead to burnout. Participants will also discover ways to prevent burnout by understanding their story, developing self-awareness, establishing healthy boundaries, and developing proper self-care. Participants will also learn to identify their feelings/emotions and express them in a healthy way through prayer, conversations with safe people, and creative outlets.
