What’s J29 Homes?
J29 Homes seeks to transform communities by rehabbing abandoned properties and making homeownership possible for those who have traditionally been excluded from that opportunity.

Black families have often been denied the opportunity to purchase homes. This has lead to housing instability. We exist to combat this problem one home at a time.

Historically in Chicago, black families have been denied access to purchasing homes which has created family wealth inequality. J29 Homes provides homes to be purchased at cost.

Blocks with abandoned homes see 3.2 times as many drug related crimes & twice the amount of violent crimes compared to blocks without vacant properties. We help combat this violence through affordable home ownership.
