LEGACY DISCIPLE

We are committed to a holistic approach to ministry which starts at early childhood all the way through home ownership. Through intentional programming, we develop young people to become leaders in their local communities and cities.

THE DETAILS:

Legacy Conference started in 2007 to invest primarily in urban young adults who desire to grow as disciples of Christ that make disciples for Christ.
Thriving Minds exists to teach elementary school students in Chicago Public Schools social and emotional skills through creative expressions.
Hood Heroes exists to equip and empower students ages 11-22 during the summer when students in Chicago are statistically most at-risk. Through city exploration, engagement with the trades & community cleanup students get to see their city in new ways.
After Hood Heroes ends in the summer Brotherhood & Sisterhood begins. These programs are mentorship networks that partner with local churches throughout Chicago. The programs operate during the school year for ages 11-18 teaching youth about the 7 Pillars of Manhood and Womanhood.
Once students graduate from each of our programs, they are given the opportunity to purchase a home in their neighborhood at-cost. In order to be a leader in their neighborhood, they must be able to buy a home in their neighborhood. J29 Homes exists to make that possible while also making neighborhoods in Chicago safer.
